How to Translate Text to Braille (Grade 1)

Enter the English text (letters, numbers, basic punctuation) you want to translate into the 'Input Text' area.

Click the 'Translate to Braille' button.

The corresponding Grade 1 Braille representation will appear in the 'Braille Output' area.

Grade 1 Braille translates letter-for-letter. Capital letters are preceded by a capital sign (⠠), and numbers use a number sign prefix (included automatically).

Use the 'Copy' button (<Copy />) next to the output to copy the Braille text.

Note: This translator currently supports basic Grade 1 English Braille. Complex contractions (Grade 2) and other languages are not supported. Unknown characters are replaced with '?'. Newlines are preserved.
